Healthcare, Medical  & Wellness Facilties

How does your facility cleanliness score compare to your industry peers?

n American hospitals alone, the CDC (Centers for Disease Control) estimates that HAIs (Hospital acquired infections) account for 1.7 million infections and 99,000 associated deaths per year. The leading HAI pathogen causing infections are clostridium difficile (c. diff) 12.1%, staphylococcus aureus (10.7%), klebsiella (9.9%), and escherichia coli (9.3%). Antimicrobial resistant bacteria and viruses such as MRSA and VRE pose additional challenges to manual cleaning and disinfectant processes. High occupancy load of sick individuals outlines a clear critical necessity for effective cleaning and disinfection between patients and procedures.

AriseDX provides baseline cleanliness assessments tailored to a facilities core functions. For hospitals, an intraday scoring for cleanliness between patients or procedures is held to a higher cleanliness threshold than intraday scoring for a restaurant between dinning customers. Hospital infection reduction plans, policies and procedures are continuing to evolve to increase hospital efficiency in combating HAIs. Comparing HAI infection rates month over month or year over year is one method of measuring progress in HAI reduction and can be completed internally by a hospital. AriseDX can assess and monitor effectiveness in common areas and decontamination zones to show where environmental challenges continue to lurk. AriseDX is gathering data from implemented solutions in facilities nationwide, to help facilities understand what their best

High touch surfaces pose a transmission risk to hospital staff and patients. Other high touch zones such as nurses stations, breakrooms, bathrooms, and waiting rooms all pose additional challenges to maintaining facility cleanliness.

Knowing your facility is clean increases staff confidence in their environmental safety.

Critical cleanliness goes beyond hospitals

A baseline assessment from AriseDX can affirm cleaning effectiveness or highlight areas where additional cleaning efforts are needed. In healthcare, wellness, and medical services, high touch areas need to be assessed. These surfaces differ by individual industries and from facility to facility. Exam tables, equipment, point of sale areas, front desks, scales, blood pressure cuffs, waiting rooms, exam rooms, clean rooms, operating rooms, door handles, faucet handles, and bathrooms are just some of the common surfaces to be measured for cleaning effectiveness. Improving scores can be as simple as evaluating chemicals used,  cleaning techniques or evaluating surface and air disinfectant solutions.
